At MKK, our Technology Mission is to "eliminate geography." This means that we strive to incorporate the technology that enables us to collaborate with anyone (clients, peers, and MKK branch offices), regardless of their location.

In addition to the solid network infrastructure within MKK, a Wide Area Network (WAN) connects us to our remote offices. Our network is comprised of state-of-the-art servers, routers, and firewalls, as well as desktop and notebook computers utilizing the latest Microsoft operating systems and software. We also utilize a fully integrated IP phone system.

MKK's commitment to technology, however, is not limited to networks and remote connectivity. We also employ video conferencing and web conferencing technologies. These alternative communication methods improve efficiency, and reduce travel costs and carbon footprint, thus providing additional value to our clients.

Additionally, MKK utilizes a comprehensive intranet which houses a wide variety of resources and applications for our employees. The content is constantly expanding to provide employees with a centralized source of information and resources, again supporting our culture of collaboration.

As an added service to our clients and their design teams, MKK has built and maintains a project extranet. All drawings and documents related to a specific project can be stored, uploaded, downloaded, and tracked in customizable project folders. It is secure and only accessible by design team members for the given project.
