BIM & AutoCAD Capabilities

MKK currently uses the 2011 Autodesk Building Systems and AutoCAD MEP, Revit MEP and Navisworks Manage software packages. Revit models and CAD files can be imported/exported between the software applications because of their interoperability.

In terms of Building Information Modeling (BIM), MKK can develop the critical path areas of construction in the 3D CAD modeling application scheme, along with item modeling properties, which allows the entire design team to work together to evaluate detection in congested spaces of the building (especially between floors and areas of utility services).

Some examples of MEP applications that fall under critical path systems are mechanical supply and return duct and chase routes, smoke control ducts and chases, water and waste lines, electrical conduit and infrastructure routing, mechanical units, and stand-by generators, just to name a few system components.
