MKK Expands Innovation Lab with Sustainability Hire
MKK Consulting Engineers, Inc. (MKK), a leading mechanical, electrical, plumbing and sustainable design firm, is pleased to announce the addition of Penny Cole, LEED AP BD+C as our Innovation Lab’s High Performance Design Lead. Penny will be responsible for leading MKK’s sustainable design and building performance analytics services. Penny joins the Innovation Lab, a team of high performance building specialists, dedicated to advancing the future of building performance and sustainability. We provide innovative design and building performance services and solutions to unlock new sources of value for building owners and occupants.
Penny Cole, LEED AP BD+C, joins MKK with over 10 years’ experience in HVAC design and sustainability consulting with a specialty in high performance building design and simulation. Penny will advance MKK’s mission of high performance by combining her distinctive experience with simple, thoughtful solutions that drive down energy and water use, while improving occupant comfort and enjoyment. She is experienced in the detailed analysis required to optimize building performance and the collaboration required to convey technical sustainable strategies.

With a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury – Christchurch, New Zealand and a Master’s of Science Degree in Civil and Architectural Engineering, Building Systems Program, from the University of Colorado – Boulder, Colorado, Penny is skilled in the full cycle of a building’s systems.
