The City of Cheyenne was in need of a new facility to house several public safety services that could also be readily available to the surrounding community. The new Cheyenne Public Safety Center co-locates the Cheyenne Police Department with the Fire Administration, Laramie County Joint Communications Center, and the Laramie County Emergency Operation Center.

MKK provided the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design for the administration and C-130 aircraft maintenance hangar and shop area for the Wyoming Air National Guard.
This two-story building consists of 46,000 square feet for a District Court and County Court, and Family Court Hearing Room. The building includes offices for District Attorney, County Attorney, Probation and Parole, County Manager Administrator and County Accounting departments.
Boulder County purchased an existing 76,900 SF, two-story building to accommodate the new Boulder County Sheriff’s Headquarters. The building was redesigned to meet the various needs of the department, including offices, large conference/training area, a workout room with locker area, forensics lab, armory, evidence processing rooms, evidence storage and a vehicle maintenance area.
The Breckenridge Riverwalk Center is a 770-seat seasonal concert hall, serving the local community. The Boulder County Addiction Recovery Center is a state-of-the-art LEED-NC Gold Certified detoxification facility. This 20-bed facility is the only non-medical detoxification facility for the community. Energy efficient indirect/direct fluorescent recessed lighting fixtures, occupancy sensors, and daylighting dimmers all provide necessary cost savings for the County, while providing adequate comfort for the patients.
The 42,000 SF Public Safety Center (PSC) building is home to the Dickinson Fire Department and will also provide additional space for Police dispatch, administration and training. The building will also serve as a training space for departments across the region. The center will also serve as a recruiting and retention showpiece for the community.

The 140,000 SF Joint Forces Readiness Center (JFRC) Complex houses the administration for the Wyoming National Guard, including the Adjutant General Office. Additional spaces include an auditorium, kitchen and cafeteria, and personal training room.
